My tropical island

A small island, in the Caribbean, divided by two,

Two countries, different cultures, so true…

Merengue, bachata and salsa can make you dance,

In Dominican Republic, there’s always a good chance.

A chance to start over again and forget all the troubles,

Because in DR, there are funny people, gentle and noble,

They also like to joke about bad moments, laughing a lot,

Creating comics, debating, discussing which is the best or not.

What I’m pretty sure about is that always,

Foreign people enjoy, and never want to go away,

When they visit my country and meet its waves,

When they know my culture, food and our happy face.

We have an eternal paradise everywhere,

This paradise can surprise you anywhere,

Most of the time it is sunny, sometimes it rains,

This tropical weather is dynamic day by day.
